Butterflies

Butterflies fascinate with their beautiful colours and patterns, and they are animals that can be seen as you move through the landscape. In many places in Denmark, populations have declined dramatically, as butterflies place great and special demands on their habitats. The caterpillars are often dependent on very special forage plants and the adult butterflies often require a richly flowering herbaceous vegetation where they can suck nectar.
